Had a very pleasant and great value mid week stay. Breakfast was excellent and staff helpful. Excellently located in harbour area with the rail and bus station and ferry terminal over the road. Also very near to the harbour attractions.
Everything is great in this place! Lovely and polite personal, clean rooms, perfect location. Great service is provided! Would recomended to stay and enjoy all mentioned. This is actualy what is expected from hotels, and keep going!
A great hotel in a perfect location with very friendly snd helpful staff. Stayed in a harbour view room which was brilliant. A great location for the historic dockyard and gunwharf quays, both within walking distance, so once we parked up in the lockable car park we walked everywhere. The bus and rail stations are directly opposite if needed.
Stayed here 21st -22nd Feb 2026 for a Portsmouth weekend with friends. Perfect location on the dock side, very close to all Gunwharf attractions and bars, including a stone's throw from the Historic Docklands and the Spinnaker Tower. Met with very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. Made to feel very welcome. Parking is convenient directly behind at the rear of the hotel's grounds. ( 'What3Words' location bath.looked.label ) Railway & bus station was over the road, so expect a little intermittent transport noise at various hours day and night. Room 24,25 faced out over the impressive Spinnaker Tower and 23 toward the Docks and side road. Windows were able to be opened if warm in the room which also had kettle and tea making. Bathroom was compact but all good with clean linen. Morning breakfast was served hot, and the kitchen staff were flexible with cooked options. We would stay again. Thank you
A fabulous little hotel very near the Harbour station in Portsmouth. Easy walk into Gunwharf Quay. Some parking available within the boundary. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice room with sight of HMS Warrior. Flat screen tv hidden in the mirror wardrobe. Kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, also Hairdryer. Lovely big bath towels and good hand towels. Wardrobe space to hang clothes along with some shelves. Nice breakfast was included with our booking. I enjoyed a full English breakfast with decafe soya coffee.
Just perfect. This hotel is opposite the main bus terminal and the museum ship (HMS Warrior). It has a lovely little cafe bar dining room downstairs for guests and a free car park to the rear. We had a sea view room with a comfy queen bed and sitting area. The staff were all great, as was the breakfast.
We had an amazing stay at Ship Leopard Hotel and couldn’t have asked for a better base for our trip to Portsmouth. The hotel has a lovely character and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well looked after, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent close to key attractions and perfect for exploring the historic dockyard and the surrounding area. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and a highlight of our holiday in Portsmouth. I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend the Ship Leopard Hotel to anyone visiting the city.
Located directly opposite the harbour, this hotel is perfect for the local attractions. Our room looked out over the harbour and the Spinaker tower. The room was a good size & very clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were really nice too.
